A TRIP to the Harry Potter studios where the film was made was the highlight of a mini break in London by 40 Widnes students.
Pupils from Wade Deacon High School in Birchfield Road enjoyed a weekend of fun and learning in the capital.
They visited the winter wonderland adventure in Hyde Park, had tea at the Hard Rock Cafe and explored the sights from an red open top London bus.
Pupil Jamie McDonald, aged 12, said: “I can’t believe that we got the opportunity to go on such a great trip. The Harry Potter Studios were amazing from the magical start right through to the jaw dropping end.”
The group, accompanied by six staff, tackled the monster quiz at the Natural History Museum.
Pupils made notes on everything as they are publishing a special report of their visit.
Teacher Rebecca Griffiths, who organised the visit, said: “This has been an excellent opportunity for our students to develop both academically and socially.
"It has been a privilege to share our time with students who represented the school in such a positive way.”
