A TALENTED teenage actor who worked on the Paul O’Grady show for six years hopes to star in Hollywood.

Sam Mottram, aged 17, won an audition when he was only six-years-old and appeared regularly as a roving reporter and reviewer.

He interviewed celebrities including Rod Stewart, Girls Aloud, Christian Slater and Michael Ball.

Sam, from Upton Rocks, Widnes, said: “My favourite interview was with Steven Gerrard as I am a Liverpool fan.

“It was a great opportunity and got me into other stuff. Paul O’Grady is really down to earth. “ Sam, a sixth-form student at SS Peter & Paul Catholic College, was invited back on the show in December.

Paul was really interested in what he is doing now and offered to be his manager when he became famous.

Sam has appeared in Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road, in adverts with Christiano Ronaldo and had small speaking parts in two films, ‘The Be All and End All’ and ‘Passport to Pimlico’.

He shares the lead of Danny Zuko in the college production of Grease next month.

Sam, who is studyiing sociology, psychology, English language and drama, added: “I hope to go to university and study either criminology or acting. I’d love to be in a Hollywood film.”
