FANCY playing football but you haven’t got the strength or stamina?

Perhaps you have a physical condition, a problem with your knees, that stops you?

Halton Council’s sports development officers have moved the goal posts to provide a new soccer game for all abilities.

Walking Football is a slow paced five-a-side football game which gives you gentle kickabout, improve walking and dribble skills, have fun, socialise and improve your health and fitness and you get a red card if you run.

Players will need trainers and a drink. The price is £2.10 or £1.85 with a Halton leisure card.

Walking men’s football for over 50s starts on Thursday, January 9 and then every Thursday at 10.30am at Kingsway Leisure Centre.

Jogging Club starts on Monday, January 13, at Wade Deacon Track, from 5pm to 6.30pm. This is for anyone aged 16 and over. Entrance is through SS Peter & Paul High College in Highfield Road and admission is £1.
