EXCITED children fed live reindeer at a fun-filled festive event in Victoria Park in Widnes on Sunday.
Hundreds of families enjoyed visiting Santa, listening to a band play Christmas carols and sauntering around gift and craft stalls.
Youngsters were able to pet the reindeer and feed them whilst their keepers had them on leads in a special pen.
Creative volunteers made lots of Christmas garlands in last of a series of workshops in the greenhouses.
Steph Davies of Victoria Park Environmental Team said: “We sold out of our wreaths and Christmas crafts. It was great.
“Lots of people came. We’ve made £300 towards the re-opening of the butterfly house.
“We must say a special thank you to Mary Davies, one of our volunteers who has come every Saturday and made the majority of our crafts. We couldn’t have done it without her help.”
