NEW information boards have been installed to celebrate the historic village of Farnworth.
They capture a variety of fascinating details about the industry, inventors, bishops and schools which put this part of north Widnes on the map.
Local residents and visitors taking walking tours around the area will be able to use the facts to learn more about the village.
Halton Council’s area forum funded the boards following a request from the community.
One has been put up outside St Luke’s Church and the other in Derby Road.
The area forum has a budget to spend on local projects and welcomes applications from the community that would improve their local area. For details on how to apply for funding, call Clare Dinsdale on 0151 511 7980.
