A FESTIVE open day at Runcorn Town Hall has raised £1,003 for the Mayor of Halton’s charities.
Clr Margaret Ratcliffe, who greeted hundreds of guests, said: “The day was a great success.
“I would like to thank all the staff, members and visitors for their kind support and donations.”
Visitors were able to see civic gifts including glass and silverware and have a guided tour of this landmark building.
Choirs from schools across Halton sang a selection of carols, children chatted to Santa and mince pies were served.
The money will be shared between The Canal Boat Adventure Project, Cancer Patient Support Fund at Halton Hospital, and Halton Entertainment Art Regional Theatre School.
