Christmas village comes to Widnes
A CHRISTMAS village is being created in Widnes.
A live nativity, Christmas market, fair rides and Santa’s grotto will be staged at Birchfield Sports and Social Club in Birchfield Road on Sunday, December 7.
There will be lots of demonstrations and activities with a visit by a Disney Princess.
The festive fun starts at 9.30am with breakfast in the grotto.
Father Christmas will open the event at midday and finish with supper at 5.30pm.
The event is being held to support local charities and good causes, including The Neaven and William's Trust, The Shetland Animal Rescue in Hale, Vikings FC and Charlotte McDowell raising funds for Camp Kenya.
