STRONG winds are still affecting traffic on the Runcorn Widnes bridge - but it is no longer closed to high-sided vehicles.

Halton Council is advising juggernaut drivers to avoid the crossing.

Motorists driving between the A557 Weston Point Expressway in Runcorn and A557 Queensway in Widnes are urged to take extra care.
