THE Ferry Tavern in Penketh has been flooded out.
Manager Andy Mulholland said the water starting coming into the pub from just after noon and continued to pour in until high tide hit at around 1.40pm.
He said: "The water is over the top of the bar and we are waiting for the tide to go out so the fire brigade can pump the water out.
"We are going to be out of business probably til at least after Christmas, if not for good because of this."
Andy said he had to move his wife and three-month-old baby daughter to safety.
