Halton's fallen remembered at two civic services
HALTON’S fallen heroes will be honoured at two annual civic services of remembrance on Sunday, November 10.
The Widnes service will be held at the war memorial in Victoria Park at 11am.
The Runcorn service takes place at the cenotaph in Greenway Road at 3pm.
Members of the Royal British Legion invite residents, organisations and associations across Halton to attend.
A short service of dedication will be held at Runcorn war memorial at 2pm on Monday, November 4 to rededicate the lawns.
Members of the public are welcome to place remembrance crosses.
The Royal British Legion has asked the public and organisations to observe two minutes silence at 11am on Monday, November 11.
Halton Council has agreed to endorse the appeal on behalf of members and staff.
