9:54am Monday 28th October 2013 in News
BHS in Widnes is staging a special halloween freaky fundraising week in aid of children’s charity the NSPCC.
Fun-filled events will take place at Widnes Shopping Park from Friday, October, 25 to November 2 and will involve a host of activities, including face painting, raffles, spooky lucky dips, Halloween cake sales, fancy dress and lots more.
NSPCC fundraising account manager, Alison Roberts said: “The BHS halloween fundraising week promises spooky fun, and ghoulish activities for all.
“We hope that people will get into the halloween spirit to show their support by getting down to their local BHS store and helping us raise money for the NSPCC so that we can help children in our area that need our support.”
BHS has been supporting the NSPCC since 2006 and has raised more than £1million for the NSPCC. The company has committed to continue to raise more money through 2013/2014.
Funds raised could pay for more ChildLine counsellors to answer contacts from children by phone and online. It could also enable the charity to answer more calls from adults with concerns about a child and enable the charity to develop innovative and pioneering services for children who have suffered abuse and harm.
