MOSAICS are being placed in the borough’s GP surgeries to try and combat obesity.
Young people from Halton have made the healthy living mosaics in the hope of encouraging people to make better lifestyle choices.
The newest mosaics were unveiled at Peelhouse Lane Medical Centre in Widnes on Wednesday.
The artwork, made from tiles, was made at an activity day at Manley Mere near Frodsham to link in with the Well Being project being run by Halton Council's Youth Provision.
Karen Smart, from the youth provision, said: "The group has worked hard with the design and creation of the mosaics and they are now coming together.”
The Well Being project is providing opportunities for young people across the borough to have a say on health and influence on how GP surgeries look and feel.
The groups are creating mosaics exploring healthy eating, physical exercise and emotional well being.
