Gill Jackson, U Lock It’s sales and marketing manager, said: “We get customers in between moves who need temporary storage for furniture.
“In the current economic climate, some people are renovating their garages rather than moving and use us to store items.
“We also have self-employed people who want somewhere to store their tools and people who have hobbies they don’t want to have at home, such as vintage cars.”
Customers are given their own electronic key fob and have access from 6am to 10pm each day.
There are currently 38 units, set to increase to 105, all securely monitored under 24-hour CCTV surveillance.
The company opened its first base in Northwich five years ago and is rapidly expanding.
Gill added: “It is proving very popular. We currently have a waiting list.
“People can come and go as they please and drive right up to their unit as they are all on the ground level.
“Our company is growing quite fast and creating job opportunities.
“We are keen to support local business and the local community. We do a lot of sponsoring of local football teams.”
