Rosemary Conley shows Halton residents how skating can keep you fit
FITNESS guru Rosemary Conley showed Halton residents that life begins at 65.
She ran a Skate into Shape session at Silver Blades ice rink in Widnes last Wednesday with international professional skater and coach, Mark Hanretty, who she performed with on ITV’s Dancing On Ice last year.
Julie Rivas from Silver Blades said: “The event was well attended. People who came were treated to a day with Rosemary and Mark along with a talk on nutrition from Rosemary.
“They wowed everyone with several breathtaking routines from Dancing on Ice.”
Rosemary, the oldest celebrity in the TV show, said: “I discovered the great benefit ice skating has on your body shape and it is a great way to tone up.
“It is possible to burn a whopping 838 calories in just 60 minutes, depending on the intensity of the skating session.”
Skaters received four hours of tuition, lunch and a talk on healthy eating. Tickets were £100.
