Halton staff and students raise £550 from their own bake-off
CREATIVE students competed in their own version of the ‘Great British Bake Off’.
Riverside staff and students made a selection of cakes and raised almost £550 for Macmillan Cancer Support’s world’s biggest coffee morning.
They even had their own TV celebrity judges.
Catering tutors Rob Swinden and Maureen Nicholls posed as Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry to mark all the entries.
A multi-coloured cake baked by 25-year-old IT tutor Ryan Turner from Warrington was declared the winner.
The winning cakes were auctioned and others sold at a coffee morning at the Cronton college campus.
