Halton children's charity shortlisted for funding appeals for votes
A CHILDREN’S charity has been shortlisted for Lloyds Bank Community Fund.
But Halton Autistic Family Support Group (HAFS) needs your help to win £3,000.
Ciaran Shanahan, HAFS development manager, said:”To ensure that we win this £3,000 we must recruit as many people as possible to vote for us.
“Please get all your friends and family to vote for HAFS.”
Dad-of-two, Ciaran, aged 60, and his wife, Margie, aged 52, founded the charity 12 years ago to seek help for their autistic son, Sean, now aged 27.
They have provides information, support and advocacy to hundreds of families as well as organising day trips and holidays.
The charity recently opened a charity shop at 9-11 High Street, Runcorn.
They hope to open a family centre and offices in the coming months.
