Free tango classes offer Halton patients fun, exercise and friendship
PATIENTS can now to try a new exercise that is gentle, fun and helps you to make friends.
Free ‘tango on prescription’ dance classes are being offered to Halton residents.
It is part of a community wellbeing practice initiative with GP practices across Runcorn and Widnes to introduce people to a new activity in a supportive and friendly environment.
Mark Swift, Chief Executive of Wellbeig Enterprises CIC, says, “Tango dancing is a great way to enjoy gentle exercise and meet new people. Give it a go and find out how dancing can improve your wellbeing.”
Tango beginner classes are held at the Masonic Hall in Widnes (starting Sunday, September 22, from 3pm to 4pm), Churchill Hall in Cooper Street, Runcorn (every Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm) and Palacefields Community Centre, Runcorn (every Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm).
