PIRATE-themed crafts and a treasure hunt drew in the crowds at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens this week.
More than 700 visitors made bejewelled cutlasses, evil eyepatches, horrendous hooks and hats, terrifying telescopes, and perilous parrots and port holes on Monday and Tuesday.
Families enjoyed digging for buried booty, followed a lost parrot trail in the walled garden and hunted down gold coins in the museum grounds before they set off on the Big Treasure Hunt.
Susan Humphreys, education officer at Norton Priory, said: “The brave buccaneers proved their seaworthiness by learning to row, then found a treasure map which took them through the Wicked Woods to the spot marked X.
"Our young pirates found the treasure chest and took home a doubloon as a souvenir of an amazing adventure.”
