Runcorn web designer hopes to help find missing people
2:40pm Thursday 29th August 2013 in News
MISSING people are the focus of a new website set up by a Runcorn web designer.
Liam Gallagher, aged 25, has turned his grief after losing a friend into a way to help reunite missing people with their families.
Tie a Ribbon was launched in January to allow visitors to view information about missing people from all over the country and report potential sightings which are verified and referred to the police.
Liam, of Havergal Street, said: “Its from my own grief and seeing the pain of his family when dealing with the loss, that I related that to the pain April Jones' family must have been going through when she went missing.
“My friend, Michael Hammond took his life in August of 2011, he was the first person close to me that I’d lost and so the grief was unbearable and inspired me to try and make something good from all of this.”
