Students offered apprenticeship opportunities
AMBITIOUS students are invited to hop on board and plan their future.
An apprenticeship hub bus will be outside Morrisons beside Widnes Market on Thursday, August 29, and Friday, August 30, from 10am to 4pm.
As pupils receive their A Level and GCSE results, this unique initiative will provide a one stop shop of advice and apprenticeship vacancies .
Advisors will be available to offer guidance and also help young people apply for training opportunities which best suit their career needs and ambitions.
It will also provide employers with the opportunity to find out more if they are thinking of offering an apprenticeship for the first time.
Sue Price, divisional director for the National Apprenticeship Service in the north, said: "The concept behind the bus is simply to enable young people to drop by and receive information and advice on apprenticeships so that they can make a more informed decision about their future.
“We also have lots of live apprenticeship job vacancies available locally so we can start to register and match-up youngsters with local employers direct from the bus”
Anyone seeking an apprenticeship vacancy or employers wishing to advertise one can visit apprenticeships.org.uk or call 08000 150 600.
You can download AV Search via the Android or iTunes app stores to find apprenticeship vacancies in your area.
The bus is funded through a partnership between the National Apprenticeship Service and The Hub, Liverpool City Regions Apprenticeship Hub.
