AN usual stall caught the imagination of shoppers in Runcorn.

Library staff had a pop up stall at the Tuesday market in Church Street.

They signed up dozens of new members and encouraged more people to visit the new library which has been created in the former Runcorn market.

It was all part of Love Your Local Market’s two week campaign.

Various community groups and stall holders held advice workshops.

The Fishing Cabin offered tips for novices and the more advanced, while KC Homebrew shared their passion for beer and winemaking with enthusiasts.

Halton Council ‘s Adult Learning, Libraries, Children’s Centres and Fostering and Adoption, Halton Housing Trust, Cheshire Police and an NHS healthy eating team ran stalls.

Market traders raised another £200 for Widnes Foodbank, with another £200 adding to the money already raised during recent events at the venue.

Widnes Market held a fun fashion show with models wearing items from stalls and recycled material.
