4:03pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in News By Barbara Jordan
RUNNERS, there is still time to enter the Easter Sunday road race.
Halton Council and Hale Road Race Committee have teamed up with Halton Haven to raise money for the hospice.
More than 700 runners took part in last year’s Run The Bridge, many in fancy dress.
Organisers are hoping this year’s event will be even bigger.
The route starts at Runcorn station, and crosses the Silver Jubilee bridge to Hale Village.
The bridge will be closed in both directions from 9.15am for around 30 minutes.
Ditton Road will be closed one way from Ditton roundabout to Hale Village including Hale Road, Foundry Lane, Halegate Road and Town Lane.
Traffic will be allowed to travel from Hale Village towards Widnes, The entry fee has been frozen at 2012 prices, £12 for club runners and £14 for non-club runners.
You can enter online at runhalton.co.uk or on the day, from 7am to 8.30am, at Picow Farm Road car park, with an additional £3 late entry fee.
