Drugs seized from Brookdale in Widnes
DRUGS have been seized by police in a dawn raid at a house in Widnes.
Details have just been released by Cheshire Police.
Officers from Widnes Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a warrant at a property in Brookdale, at 6.30am on Saturday, March 9.
Suspected illegal drugs were taken away for further forensic examinatiion.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply. He was subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.
Sgt Neil Edgar, of Widnes NPU, said: “The warrant was executed as a result of information, which was passed on by members of the public.
“Widnes NPU is committed to tackling suspected drug related activity within the local community. We will not tolerate any sort of behaviour that has a negative impact on the lives of local people.
“Information from members of the public is vital in the fight against drug related crime. “ Anyone with information about drugs can call Cheshire Police on 101.
