Preston Brook firm continues its 27-year link with Rocksavage plant

A RUNCORN construction company has had its contract at at Mexichem Fluor’s chemical manufacturing plant at Rocksavage extended.
Hertel, whose regional headquarters is at Preston Brook, has worked at Rocksavage for 27 year, where it provides a range of services, including scaffolding, insulation, asbestos removal, mechanical and civils.
Alan Gosling, regional director of Hertel UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Mexichem and in particular the Rocksavage site, as this was one of the first contracts undertaken by Hertel when the company was established in the UK.”
The company employs 20 people at the site, which can increase to 60 during particular projects.
Mexichem Fluor products are used in a wide range of industries from air conditioning to the medical sectors.
Ron Roscher, european operations manager of Mexichem Fluor said: “Mexichem Fluor is very pleased to extend our contract with Hertel. We are committed to the north west and are always keen to work with other companies that contribute to the success of the region”.
Hertel, a multi-discipline construction and maintenance services company, has more than 500 employees in the north west and specialises in working at oil refineries, chemical plants, power stations and nuclear facilities.
