HALTON Haven has received a £500 gift from a housing provider.
Salford-based Salix Homes created an online video to advise its tenants on the impending welfare reforms and based it on a concept designed by Halton Housing Trust.
In lieu of payment for using their video design, the trust suggested Salix Homes made a donation to the hospice.
Sue Sutton, director of customer and neighbourhood services at Salix Homes, said: “We were delighted to make a donation to hospice and hope it will go some way towards helping them continue the wonderful work they do.
“We’d also like to thank Halton Housing Trust for sharing their video with us as it has saved us costly resources, enabled us to keep our tenants informed of any changes to benefits which may affect them and we’ve also been able to support a worthwhile cause at the same time.”
Hannah Denny, hospice fundraising support officer, said: “All donations sent to Halton Haven are used to make our patients as happy and comfortable as possible during their stay with us.
“We pride ourselves on the specialist care we are able to offer, and without the kind support of friends like Salix Homes, these services would not be available to our local community.”
