A NEW activities group is being launched at Upton Community Centre in Hough Green Road, Widnes.

It is free for anyone who fancies having a go at new age bowls and curling.

These fun sports can improve your physical exercise, wellbeing and give you the chance to make new friends.

The activities group is part of the Community Wellbeing Practice initiative in Halton, that is working with eight GP Practices in the borough to improve people’s wellbeing.

Lynn Swift, community wellbeing officer at Wellbeing Enterprises, said: “This is a great opportunity for people of all ages to try something new and meet new people. Come along and give it a go.”

The group starts on Wednesday, February 27, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, and will continue every Wednesday afternoon for six weeks.

To book a place, contact Lynn Swift on 01928 589799 or email l.swift@wellbeingenterprises.org.uk
