A PROFESSIONAL dance theatre company which helps addicts in recovery, get back on their feet has staged an acclaimed show at The Brindley.

Community group Risen works with artistic director, Paul Bayes Kitcher, to tell stories and experiences through dance.

Halton Council's arts team leader, Claire Bigley, said : 'Working with Fallen Angels dance company has been an artistic, honest, emotional and positive experience.

"It's important to enable as many people in our communities to access high quality arts,  to be able to enrich and alter people's lives in a real and tangible way is evident through this work.

"The company has a style of work that is unlike so many others; they are inspired and their work is influenced by the experiences of addicts.”

An audience of local recovery based services and groups watched the show.

Plans are now underway to see how the local groups can engage with the theatre company to prepare performances for next year.
