YOBS torched rubbish in two arson attacks in Widnes last night.

The incidents happened in neighbouring streets in less than an hour.

Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses.

The first incident was in Stewards Avenue, where rubbish had been set on fire in a garden.

Firefighters used hand appliances to extinguish the blaze at 9.47pm.

They were called out again to neighbouring Haig Road at 10.39pm after more rubbish had been torched.
