Halton Housing Trust is supporting Widnes Vikings for the fourth year running, as one of their official club partners for 2013.
As part of the deal, the trust will continue to sponsor the Viking’s summer camp, which attracted more than 120 school children last August.
The trust also funds the popular Try Rugby sessions and Kevin Brown camp, designed to encourage young people into the sport.
The renewed sponsorship will see the trust and the club working closely together on a range of activities, including big screen promotion at match days.
The trust will also receive tickets for every home game and plans to give them to tenants and staff as rewards.
Noel Sharpe, trust executive director of customer services, said: “We’ve worked with the Vikings for a long time now and we share the same values. The Vikings do fantastic work within the local community, and, like us, they want to make a difference and improve people’s lives. We are very excited about the year ahead.”
The trust has a history of working in partnership with the Vikings.
In 2010, the trust modernised the changing rooms at Stobart Stadium. Their construction services team used their trades expertise to upgrade the facilities.
More recently, the social landlord held its annual employee conference at the stadium. Staff sampled touch rugby as part of an action-packed programme.
