Wanted: loving homes for foster children
6:30pm Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News By Barbara Jordan
A CAMPAIGN which changed the lives of 200 children last year is looking for more loving homes for foster children.
Halton Council has again teamed up with 23 councils across the north west to make a real difference to youngsters.
You Can Foster will be appealing for more carers on TV next week.
Cllr Ged Philbin, board member for children and young people said: “We are proud to continue to be a part of such a high-profile campaign.
"The start of the New Year is the perfect time for us to call on our residents and ask them to give something back to a child in need in our community.
"We hope, that the presence of the You Can Foster campaign will bring fostering to the forefront of the minds of those who want to make a real difference this year.
"In these uncertain times, with excellent training, support and generous financial allowances, fostering for Halton Council is also an exceptional career choice for those looking for a new direction, or to compliment existing roles."
More then 4,500 enquiries have been made since the campaign was launched in 2010.
