Historic films of old Widnes and Runcorn to be screened at library

Fascinating footage which captured the life and culture of people working in various industries over the past 110 years will be screened.

The films will be introduced by staff from the North West Film Archive at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Movies from old Runcorn and Widnes will will be screened from 1pm to 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 19, Tuesday, February 26, and footage of old Liverpool will be shown on Tuesday, March 5.

Halton Lea Library received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to establish the library as a key community building for people older people.
