STAFF at a Widnes children’s centre have been hailed as ‘passionate’ about their work by Government inspectors.
Ofsted inspectors who recently visited Upton Children's Centre in Hough Green,Widnes, praised it as ‘good’, with some outstanding features.
The centre moved in to its current premises in 2011 and shares its home with All Saints CofE Primary School and Upton Pre-School and Afterschool Club.
The inspectors found management and staff to be passionate about their work and that morale is high.
It has excellent partnership working arrangements in place with a wide range of professionals, ensuring that its services are well-integrated and that it meets the needs of those families in most need of support.
The report also found that families hold the centre in high regard and greatly value the support and guidance that it offers them. The report concludes that the centre accurately evaluates its services and has good capacity to improve even further in the future.
