St Michael’s pupils say goodbye to their head teacher, Terenia Gosney
A MUCH-LOVED Widnes head teacher has retired.
Terenia Gosney has led St Michael’s RC Primary School in Ditton for 17 years.
A special farewell mass was held at St Michael’s RC Church, where pupils, staff, parents, and governors paid tribute to her dedicated service.
Ken Edwards, chairman of governors, said: “Mrs Gosney’s commitment and leadership skills were tremendous. Working alongside her and the senior management team was always a positive experience. She will be sadly missed.”
Mrs Gosney, has devoted 36 years to the teaching profession, including 20 years as a head teacher.
In her farewell address, she described how every decision had always been in the best interests of the children.
Past teachers and friends joined staff, parents and governors for a reception at the school.
