Knife robber threatens Widnes newsagent staff

A ROBBER wielding a knife threatened staff at a Widnes newsagents.
He burst into the shop in Lower Appleton Road and demanded cash.
A member of staff handed him the contents of the till and he ran off.
No-one was injured in the incident but staff were left shaken by their ordeal.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
The robbery happened at around 7pm on Saturday, December 7.
The man is described as about 5ft 9ins tall, and of a medium build. He was wearing a black or dark green hooded top with white draw strings, a neck scarf and dark trousers.
