WIDNES market traders dressed in Victorian costumes to launch their festive fun.
They will be giving away £1,600 to shoppers in vouchers to spend at any stall during the 12 days of Christmas.
A dozen customers will receive £100.
The first draw is on December 1 and the final winner, on Friday, December 21, will receive £500.
Shoppers will be given a free entry form when they make a purchase.
Santa returns to his free grotto once again between 10am and 4pm, every Friday and Saturday in December.
Children can get a free picture with Father Christmas and post their letters to Santa at some of the stalls.
The Halton Council-run market will open on Tuesdays in the run-up to Christmas and on Sundays December 16 and 23.
