Charity promotes mobile phone designed for the elderly
5:40pm Saturday 24th November 2012 in News By Barbara Jordan
A NEW mobile phone has been launched by Age UK specifically designed for older people.
Chris Kane, charity shop manager at Age UK Widnes, said: “Many older people and their families have told us that current mobile phones can be really complex, so we’re delighted to be launching the Age UK My Phone.
“ It arrives ready to use and with one push of a button you can get in touch with the people you talk to most.
“We really hope this will make a difference to the lives of older people in our area.”
The phone costs £55 and is available from Age UK Widnes, 34 Albert Square. For more information, call 0151 420 5474 or visit ageuk.org.uk/ageukmyphone to download an order form.
