Detectives hunt for Widnes car thieves

BURGLARS, one armed with a knife, stole a car after threatening a driver in Widnes.
Two men knocked on the door of a house in New Bank Road, demanding the keys to a Ford Focus parked outside.
The pair then drove off in the stolen vehicle.
The incident happened at around 11pm last night.
The car subsequently crashed into the garden wall of a house in Halewood and the two suspects ran from the scene.
Enquiries are being led by Widnes CID.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the subsequent collision in Halewood, to contact DC Neal Davison at Widnes CID on 101.
