TIME rolled back in historic Hale village as more than 90 vintage vehicles took part in a classic car show.
The event raised £460 for prostate cancer.
Organiser Ian Trimble, aged 44, a train driver, of Crabtree Close, who restored a 1957 Ford Prefect, said: “A few people cancelled and I was worried.
“But on the day it was incredible. We had loads.
“I was over the moon. It was a lovely day. I would like to thank all the people who came and supported us.”
Around 50 members of Widnes Scooter Club joined Widnes remote control club to display their vehicles outside the Childe of Hale pub in Church End.
So far, Ian has raised almost £1,000 for prostate cancer this year.
He plans to stage another classic car show at Hale Carnival on June 8, 2013, when he will be supporting a charity for the blind.
