Shine a light for your loved ones
12:58pm Monday 29th October 2012 in News By Barbara Jordan
A RECORD-BREAKING £30,000 was raised by the Light Up A Life appeal for Halton Haven Hospice last year.
Local residents are once again invited to sponsor a light on a giant Christmas tree to celebrate the life of their loved ones.
This year’s service starts at 7pm, on Friday, December 7.
Shaun Pollard, director of corporate services at the hospice, said: “Light up a Life is a wonderful event to be a part of.
“It’s a simple yet very moving service and means so much to people who have lost someone, whether it’s recently or several years ago, at the hospice or not.”
A 30ft Tree will be situated in the grounds of the hospice and its lights will shine throughout the 12 days of Christmas.
Astmoor Primary School choir will sing carols.
A range of stalls will be selling various items in aid of the hospice.
Friends and relatives can visit the tree at any time.
