Police appeal after attempted phone robbery near St Chads High School, Runcorn

POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Runcorn.
The 19-year-old victim was walking along the footpath adjacent to St Chads High School, which runs between Grangeway and Thorn Road, when he was grabbed by a man who demanded his phone.
Police said the victim ‘overpowered’ the offender who fled the scene on Saturday between 12.01 and 12.20am.
The man is described as white, about 6ft tall, 18-years-old with a slim build.
He was wearing a dark jacket, black tracksuit trousers and a scarf covering the lower part of his face.
