Kingsway: The area is mainly residential. On its westerly boarder is King George playing fields. It is home to the Eddie Stobbart stadium, where Widnes and St Helen Rugby league clubs and Everton football club reserve team play their home games. The area also has 2 of Widnes's high schools, Wade Deacon and St Peter and Pauls. The area boarders the town centre to its east and has a number of local stores. Riverside: Riverside has 2 main residential areas, West bank, which is over looked by the famous Runcorn bridge. It boarders the river Mersey, spike island and plays host to Catalyst museum. It has 2 local stores and 3 local public houses. St Michael golf course is also located in the area and backs onto the Ditton West residential estate, with a parade of shops and real community feel. The area also has a large industrial estate. Appleton: At Appleton's centre is Victoria park, which is a green flag park and hosts the annual vintage fair organ rally. It is a largely residential area with a number of local shops and businesses. The area incorporates a large amount of the town centre and the new retail park.
