Towie star Lydia Bright has sworn off relationships following her split from James Argent.

The couple broke up a few months ago after dating on and off for years.

And Lydia said although she would “never say never” about having another romance on the show, right now it is time for her to embrace the single life.

“You can’t rule out falling for somebody else but I don’t have any intention of being in another relationship any time soon,” she said.

“I have no regrets with James but it’s now time to focus on being by myself and being single.

“I have no desire to get in another relationship for the next couple of years.”

Lydia and James had a showdown on the beach in recent scenes, as she told him she was severing all ties.

The reality star said it was hard getting it all off her chest.

“I think for me it was tough because I don’t really like to talk about my problems,” she said.

“James and I hadn’t had any conversations for the whole three months since our split. That was the first time we were face to face and I had no choice but to address what had happened.

“I had blocked it out for so long, went away to Indonesia and Vegas with my friends as I didn’t want to think about it.

“It was hard and afterwards I did have a cry with Chloe Lewis.”

But Lydia said she is glad it happened as it has given her closure.

She said: “It’s done, it’s out there and I’ve said what I wanted to say. I had to be quite brutal but that’s the only way I could play it – it was all from the heart.”

The Only Way Is Essex is on Wednesdays and Sundays at 10pm on ITVBe.
