Justin Bieber has been offering his support and congratulations to his fans taking part in the Olympics.

The Boyfriend star has been tweeting his congratulations to members of the American swimming and gymnastics teams who won gold medals, but is also rooting for his home country of Canada.

Justin wrote on Twitter: "Now time for Canada to win some. #TeamCanada #Olympics"

The teenage heartthrob set pulses racing at the weekend when he sent messages to Canadian artistic gymnast Dominique Pegg, who is a self-confessed Belieber, the nickname for Bieber fans.

Justin tweeted Dominique: "sorry im late 2 the party. want to let you know as a proud canadian Im always supporting you and proud of you. STAND UP CANADA! :)"

Dominique tweeted back: "Hey @justinbieber, are you gunna come watch us at team finals tomorrow? I'm sure I can get u a pass to get in ;)"

Justin isn't the only celebrity rooting for his country. Cheryl Cole and One Direction's Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson has been showing their support for 18-year-old British diver Tom Daley.

Cheryl tweeted Tom: "I think you are amazing! Will you teach me how to swan dive?"

Tom replied: "Of course, but first you need to follow me," to which Cheryl replied "Deal".

1D's Liam tweeted Tom: "we all sat and watched you today and we thought u did incredible".
