Katherine Jenkins broke down in tears after injuring her back during a semi-final performance on Dancing With The Stars.
The Welsh mezzo-soprano was nearing the end of a fast-paced belly dance routine with partner Mark Ballas on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing when she muddled up a move and was unable to continue.
The star later revealed to Twitter followers: "Thank you for all your concerned tweets... I'm with the doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back."
The show's judges reassured tearful Katherine that she had delivered a knock-out performance, awarding her 27 marks out of 30.
Bruno Tonioli said of the singer's sexy snake-charmer performance: "You unleashed the harlot, which is good to see - handle with extreme care, because it bites - so don't worry about what happened, because it happens to anybody.
"Up to that point it was absolutely wonderful darling, so don't beat yourself up."
Len Goodman added: "I just wrote, 'Katherine the Great, the world's wonder woman'. You absolutely came out and gave that 100%."
