Liam Gallagher paid a special tribute to the victims of the Manchester and London terror attacks, as well as the Grenfell Tower fire, as he performed at Glastonbury Festival.
He led the crowd in an a capella singalong of the Oasis hit Don’t Look Back In Anger as he rounded off his set on The Other Stage on Saturday afternoon.
He told his packed audience: “This next song, last song, is to the people who were killed in the Manchester attacks, in London, and in the Grenfell Tower. So if you know the words, join in.”
He then led his fans in song with just a touch of percussion and his maracas for backing.
During his hour-long set, Gallagher also treated the crowd to tracks from new album As You Were, including Wall Of Glass, as well as well-known classics from his former band, such as What’s The Story (Morning Glory).
Elsewhere at the Somerset event, fans of Toots And The Maytals were disappointed when the band failed to turn up.
The audience at the West Holts stage was left waiting for the Jamaican musicians before it was announced that they would not be performing.
Meanwhile, US popstar Katy Perry took over the festival’s Pyramid main stage ahead of the day’s headline band, Foo Fighters.
