LOVERS of 60s music are in for a treat as the New Amen Corner is reviving their hits.

The group will be joined by special guests for an nostalgic evening at The Brindley at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 11.

Mike Pender, the voice of the Searchers, will be singing 60s classics including Needles and Pins.

After a showbusiness career spanning half a century, he is still touring all over the world.

He will bring million selling hits such as Sugar and Spice, Sweets For My Sweet, Don’t Thrown Your Love Away, When You Walk In The Room back to life.

Manfred Mann frontman Mike d’Abo will also be on stage performing favourite hits including Just Like A Woman, Semi-Detached Suburban, Mr James and Mighty Quinn.

Mike’s career after the band disbanded in 1969 lost none of its momentum.

He’d already proved his skill as a songwriter composing Build Me Up Buttercup for The Foundations and Handbags and Gladrags, a big hit for Chris Farlowe.

Tickets for this two hour show are available from the box office on 0151 907 8360 and at thebrindley.org.uk.
