A NEW musical comedy promises to have the audience ‘dying with laughter’ on Halloween.

Seriously Dead stars Crissy Rock from Benidorm and I’m A Celebrity, Frazer Hines from Emmerdale and Doctor Who, Billy Pearce, Leah Bell and Paul Dunn.

The play, which comes to The Brindley on October 31, follows a chain of extraordinary events in the quiet little town of Olwinskirk.

The lives of Betty, Albert, Billy and an undertaker become inextricably linked as they head towards the Pearly Gates and a disgruntled guardian angel named Thelma.

Written by Leah Bell and Crissy Rock, the fun-filled drama contains music by Mike Redway.

The pair say they love writing together as they laugh all the time.

They started their writing partnership during long car journeys while touring together in the hit play Dirty Dusting.

Mike, 76, can’t believe he has achieved his lifelong ambition of having his songs included in a musical.

He thinks Crissy and Leah could be the next French and Saunders.

Tickets priced £20 are available from the box office on 0151 907 8360 and the brindley.org.uk.
