A HALTON actor and director is making his panto debut.

Andrew Curphey, from Widnes, has been chosen to play Dandini in Cinderella at The Brindley after performing on stage for more than 15 years.

The former Bankfield and Cronton Sixth Form student runs his own theatre company and works with more than 200 children and young people in evening and weekend classes.

For the past eight years, he has helped people to develop their performance skills and gain confidence.

Each year the Andrew Curphey Theatre Company stages two productions at The Brindley.

Andrew said: "I will be making my panto debut. I am so excited and thrilled to be taking on a professional acting role in my local theatre.”

He appears in his third one man show A Mic, Music and Me on October 15.

Tickets for Andrew’s show and Cinderella which runs from December 12 to January 15 are available from the box office on 0151 907 8360 and online at thebrindley.org.uk.
