A TOP UK soul band is coming back to Runcorn.

The Real Thing is celebrating 40 years in the business with a tour of live shows.

Three original vocalists, Chris Amoo, Eddie Amoo and Dave SWEET SOUL MUSIC: A MEMORABLE night packed with nostalgic music is coming to Runcorn.

Former Drifters Daniel Bowen Smith and Steve V King will join soul diva Jennifer Wallace and special guests to revive music from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

They will perform a selection of rock and roll hits at The Brindley at 7.30pm on Thursday, October 23.

Their show, billed as ‘Unforgettable’, will feature music from Nat King Cole, The Drifters, Frankie Valli, The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and many more.

Songs will include Dancing in the Street, Blue Suede Shoes, Stand By Me and Under The Boardwalk.

The event is being held at 7pm on September 26, at Prescot Parish Church, Church Street, Prescot.

Organ classics by JS Bach, Vierne, Elgar and Widor will performed by Tim Hall and other musicians. Admission is £5, including cheese and wine.
