Win a pair of tickets to see Sister Act at the Opera House, Manchester!
The Sisters of Perpetual Faith are back! Following a smash hit run at the Opera House in September 2011 Sister Act is returning for two weeks only! We have teamed up with the Opera House Manchester to promote their competition to give one very lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to the 7.30pm performance on Tuesday 25th September, 2012 and two lucky runner up winners will receive a Sister Act goodie bag.
After playing to over a million people at the London Palladium during its West End run, a Tony-nominated run on Broadway and a hit UK tour, Manchester audiences are getting a second chance to see the show. Sister Act stars Coronation Street’s Denise Black as Mother Superior, fellow former Corrie and Brookside favourite Michael Starke as Monsignor O’Hara and rising new star Cynthia Erivo as nun on the run Deloris Van Cartier. It is on at the Opera House Manchester from Tuesday 25th September to Saturday 6th October.
When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found – a convent! Disguised as a num she quickly finds fans amongst her fellow ‘sisters’ but makes the wrong impression on the convent’s strict Mother Superior. When she turns her attention to the convent’s off-key choir, helping the nuns to find their true voices and breathing new life in to the rundown neighborhood, her cover could be blown for good. With the gang giving chase, is time running out for Deloris? Or have they underestimated the power of her new found Sisterhood?<
SISTER ACT, Opera House, Quay St, Manchester, Tuesday 25 September – Saturday 6 October. Performance times: Tue – Sat eves 7.30pm, Thurs & Sat mats 2.30pm, Extra mat Sun 30 Sep 3pm Tickets: £15-£45.50. Call: 0844 871 3018 or visit www.atgtickets.com/manchester .
